I'm Sofy and I'm the vice president of Octagon. I joined Octagon half-way through my freshmen year and I'm really happy I did. I'm very enthusiastic about this upcoming year, and my being VP. I joined octagon because I really love doing community service; it's a great way to meet new people and help out the community, which is a plus. I can't wait to get started on planning this year with everyone.
Hello Octagoners. I'm going to be your lovely secretary this year so I control and dictate your hours that will grant you a lovely trip at the end of the year. We ARE nice people and we FINALLY have means of proper transportation, which are me and the lovely webmaster and some othe people who I don't really remember at this current moment so I will apologize, so we can broaden our horizons to different cities. Like San Jose, which is where more lovely Octagoners like ourselves inhabit. I digress, but we WILL have a GREAT time. It's mandatory.

I've been in Octagon throughout all my years in high school. I can be a pretty loud and outgoing person. In Octagon, everyone knows that if they hear someone laugh or talk really loud, that's me! I'm also known for stuffing food in my mouth during all times of the day (though this is not true), but hey who doesn't love food? I also play on the badminton team at SLHS, which isn't very surprising since I'm asian..just kidding! My partner is actually our very own president, Puja. I really enjoy watching movies online in my free time, and my favorite genre is romantic comedies. That's pretty much what I do when I'm bored or I need to relax. Hi there. I am currently a Junior and my job will be to represent the Juniors, inform others abput events and to get others to join to make our club bigger. I've been an active member of this club since freshman year and I personally enjoy this club compared to other clubs because everyone is kind and always ready to help. I love doing community service because it allows me to meet new people from around the community, to help them, to experience new activities and because it is just fun. Anyway, if you have any questions don't be afraid to ask be it on AIM since I am usually online very often or you could always ask the other officers, whatever is more convenient for you. To all new and old members of the club, let's all have another successful and enjoyable school year. And if you're new, I guarantee you will love this club once you start going to events. :)
This is my second year in Octagon. I grew to love volunteering in my time in Octagon because I found out that it is very fun and you feel good about yourself after. You meet tons of great people too. Octagon has definitely helped me become more confident and more social because I can be very quiet and shy sometimes. There isn't much about me except that I think hippies are cool and Oasis and Pheonix are cool too. They have nice songs. :D
